My Creative Journey

I am a creative enthusiast, born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand's vibrant hub of arts and culture. Growing up in a family of jazz musicians, I was immersed in a naturally creative environment, sparking my early passion for expression. From experimenting with rhythmic patterns on a drum set to sketching with my grandfather's drafting tools and capturing moments through my mother's Olympus SLR, creativity has always been an integral part of my life.

My formal journey into creative practice began in high school, where I honed my skills in design and photography, laying a foundation in computer-augmented image creation. Eager to expand my horizons, I pursued higher education at Massey University's College of Creative Arts. There, I embraced a diverse range of courses, delving into videography, animation, 3D modeling, interaction and communications design, while holding fast to my core passion for photography.

After four years of study–punctuated by an exchange and another four years spent immersing myself in German culture–I have completed my Bachelor of Design with Honours. My academic journey coalescing in major project combining my creative interests in a professionally printed architectural photobook, 'New Notions Of Home'. This project showcased my visual communication proficiency, integrating compelling essays with captivating photography in a sleek design layout.

Beyond academia, I have maintained creative output through a myriad of personal photographic and musical endeavours. Professionally, I have contributed to Siols in Germany by generating photo, video, text, and web content. Additionally, I have freelanced as an event and documentary photographer in Wellington, further enhancing my skills and experience in the field.
